The Vine Wombourne

th-vine1.jpg

The Vine, a beautiful inn dating from the early 1700s, is at the heart of picturesque Wombourne. It’s a great stop for walkers on the nearby Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal, and the South Staffordshire Railway Path.

The Vine in Wombourne started life as a private house in the early 18th century, but by 1851 had become The Vine. The inn drew much of its trade form local farm labourers, although the fact that The Vine used to have its own stables suggests that it was also frequented by horseback travellers on long journeys.

Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal spring dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste – which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.
