Gavin Williamson, MP for South Staffordshire, held a supermarket surgery in Wombourne, last weekend. Gavin hosted the session at Sainsbury’s in Wombourne on Friday evening between 6 and 7pm.

The supermarket surgery was an opportunity for shoppers to speak with Gavin about any concerns that they had, without needing to go through the hassle of booking an appointment.

Gavin said: “Our standard surgeries are always well attended but they are usually held in venues such as village halls and, however well publicised, there is always a danger that some residents may not know you are there.

“I received some great feedback from people visiting me at my supermarket surgery on Friday evening. These events are a great opportunity for shoppers to spontaneously raise any issues, without having to go out of their way to book an appointment. I would like to thank the staff of Sainsbury’s, in Wombourne, who were extremely welcoming and accommodating and hope to be able to hold more events like these in the future.”
