Sainsbury’s Wombourne has presented All Nations Christian Centre with a Community Grant for £250.00

This will help to take great care of all of the children’s personal, social and emotional development and have a desire to create a fantastic space for them in the new building we have recently acquired.

The donation came about after Claire Green the organizer of the group came to Sainsbury’s Wombourne to ask for a bag pack, Gabriella Pickerill the PR Ambassador found more out about the Christian centre and put forward their details for a community grant.

The Sainsbury’s Community Grant scheme, helping charitable groups in the local community, is funded by sales of ‘Bags for Life’. So for customers at Sainsbury’s Wombourne buying a ‘Bag for Life’, this means that they are not only doing great things for the environment, but are also making a contribution to their local community.

Store Manager Kate Bradshaw-Sole said: “Our store is at the heart of the local community and it is important that we can do as much as we can to support it. When we heard about The Christian centre we were really pleased to be able to help out.”

Last year alone the Community Grants scheme provided £135k worth of donations, nominated by store managers and colleagues from stores nation wide.
