Adventure Street
Adventure Street, near Wolverhampton, is a beautifully designed child size play town. A great place for children bursting with imagination. Play alongside your child while they serve you barista style coffee, give you a new makeover and even tend to the horses at Baggeridge’s first child sized stables.
Founded by a teacher and a team of play consultants, it’s West Midlands’ newest play venue for under 7s. Every aspect has been designed to grow children’s confidence and develop life skills through the use of familiar real-life scenarios.
Himley Hall & Park
Himley Hall and Park is a beautiful place to visit. Especially during the Summer holidays with the family. The hall itself is also open to the public during the summer, with a number of events on as well. They also have a great coffee shop.
Wild Zoo
Wild Zoo is a zoo with a difference. WILD Zoological Park was born out of a dream to educate the public about different animals, poke holes in common misconceptions and to remove stigmas commonly associated with animals that aren’t so cute and fluffy. Just a few minutes drive from Wombourne, this is a great family day out.
Baggeridge Country Park & Miniature Railway
Baggeridge Country Park is a beautiful area of countryside on the doorstep of the Black Country. Being set back from the roads, its secluded delights are revealed to you as you explore further. The creation of today’s scenery however, is very diverse.
Formerly the Baggeridge Colliery and part of the original Himley Estate of the Earls of Dudley, the site has been transformed into 150 acres of attractive country park. Baggeridge Country Park provides an ideal setting for those looking for wildlife and those wishing to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. The park has numerous facilities for outdoor pursuits.

Geocaching
This may be new to some of you. But if you’ve got a GPS device, you could try geocaching for a cheap day out that will capture the imagination of the kids. It’s a funt way to explore Wombourne and beyond. You can get started by signing up for free on the Geocaching website, enter your postcode and find geocaches near you. Enter the co-ordinates of a site you choose on your GPS, and go have some fun.
