The village has been awoken by the sounds of ice being scraped off car windows over the past few days, and there is likely to be more to come.

Forecasters are warning that although there will be little rain in the coming week, high pressure will be bringing further mornings of frost and fog.

Despite the warning, it is likely that as polar air arrives on Wednesday, there will be some good spells of sunshine on both Wednesday afternoon and Thursday.

Friday is likely to be bright too, although over the weekend and into next week frost and fog is likely to return.

Village weatherman Simon Keeling said, “The fog may become dense into the weekend and early next week with an increasing risk of it lingering all day. On the plus side, there’s unlikely to be much very cold weather.”
